New Georgia Project

In the process of doing that work, I realized how many thousands of Georgians, especially people of color, weren't registered to vote.

And so in 2014, we turned what was called the New Georgia Project for signing people up for the ACA into a voter registration effort.

Fast-forward to 2018, we had thousands of people who'd been added to the rolls.

And then 2018 went through an election which-- with some aggressive voter suppression.

So intent and effect are there across the board, across the entire industry.

Another great example, the New Georgia Project, founded by Stacey Abrams, who was a Democrat candidate, got fined $300,000 because they were literally just handing out vote for Stacey Abrams mailers.

Now, isn't the irony that in Georgia they tried to claim that there was voter suppression when, in fact, voter turnout had actually increased?
