Never Take Friendship Personal

Together, we dissect the writing, recording, and inspiration behind the hit single Feel Good Drag, taken from their 2008 major label album New Surrender.

The song, formerly titled The Feel Good Drag, was originally released on the band's second album, 2005's Never Take Friendship Personal.

When the band signed to Universal Records, their A&R person was none other than Nate Albert, former guitarist for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Nate, along with others at the label, suggested that the band re-record the track.

Uh, when I think about that, yeah, it's, it's weird how it just all blurs together.

Don't know where the time went.

Your second record, Never Take Friendship Personal, was released in '05, and this is the album where Feel Good Drag was first released, although it was called The Feel Good Drag on this album.

It was the eighth song out of 11, uh, on that record, kinda buried late in the record.
