We'll be going up to Shell City to the Backroads Cafe to see what their club up there.

So they can actually put the window in Nevada or they can put it wherever they're from, whichever their area is.

Like Shell City's at Backroads.

Reinhardt is at their church.

Wow!

And welcome to Tiger Talk.

And also, of course, talk about the game upcoming.

Thank you for joining us this afternoon.

Today, we're gonna be talking about some happenings in the city of Nevada.

A lot going on right now, a lot to look forward to as well.

And to talk with us here today, we have Nevada Mayor Carol Branam.

Mayor Branam, thank you for joining us.

Well, thank you for having me.

Traditionally, we have very few people that attend the public hearing on, on the budget, and it doesn't mean that, you know, they have to question things or say ...

But we hope that if there's any questions in the process, that the public will reach out to administration and/or city council members.

And I've been, we've crossed paths.

Talk about your past weekend, this weekend down in Nevada, Missouri.

Yeah.

Um, we went to the weekend before, uh, Nevada and, uh, Got to the end of the track and the old turbo sounded horrible.

So I brought it home, pulled up the shop, sure enough, wiped the turbo out.

So I

got

a new turbo on Saturday at like 1 o'clock and went to Nevada and that made a world of difference.

And so I felt like those two things married very well together.

And we actually were able to go to 20 locations this year, not only in Nevada, but in the surrounding communities.

And, you know, we just really enjoyed it.

It was a wonderful day.

Again, it's not just athletes.

It's the community trying to come together.

And as you continue to mention, becoming Nevada's college.

So tell me a little bit about the 5K Run and Walk, kind of what the purpose is and how people can get involved with it.

Or if you just want to come to our office and learn more, either myself or Tracy can talk you through it.

And we are at 428 East Highland Avenue in Nevada.

So let's kind of recap the events again in details one more time.

The hiring playbook event will take place on October 1st at 1130 a.m. at the Centennial Building in Vernon County.

It's in the middle of nowhere in Iowa.

Nevada, Missouri, another small area in Missouri, beautiful castle palace.

I mean, these were repurposed old world buildings, fixed up.

Pontiac, Michigan, very small area too, especially then.

And welcome, everybody, to Tiger Talk here on Sunday, 99.9 FM, or if you're listening online on the KNEM AM audio stream or on demand on the podcast.

Appreciate you joining us.

I'm Mike Harbett, voice of the Tigers, this time again to talk Nevada Tiger and Lady Tiger Athletics.

Today we're going to be talking about the new cat ordinance that is being considered by the City Council and how that would help the stray cat population issue in the community.

And talking about that today we have Nevada Animal Control Officer Ben Douglas.

Mr. Douglas, thank you for coming in.

Thanks for having me.

And then, you know, you've got climbing on cars and tearing up patio furniture and, you know, just becoming a nuisance, basically.

I've been...

the animal control officer for Nevada for quite some time.

You know, in the beginning, when I was first hired with the current city ordinances for cats, we would trap them.
