Then went on to Granton, big street market there.

Then we went to Nethy Bridge, who had a kind of like afternoon tea for, you know, there's been big fires up in the Cairngorms.

Oh, the wildfires, yeah.

And yeah, Nethy.

They had a high volume pump drawing water directly from Loch Morloch and a helicopter that was doing water bombing runs.

Homes in Nethy Bridge were evacuated and around 300 hectares of Loch Gartin Reserve was burned.

Next we move into the East Midlands, Nottinghamshire had Strawberry Hill Heath and Sherwood Pines.

This is the one that I want you to actually remember because it's probably the most instructive incident of the season from a working firefighter's perspective.

In fact, it was so bad on Thursday night they had to withdraw people from the fire because it was raging.

But we've been very lucky that the wind has kept it away from Nethy Bridge.

We put in fire breaks on Thursday night with bulldozers to try and stop it coming any closer to the village, because in 1959 it stopped at the last house in the village.

I think one of the main problems we have, we've seen rewilding become the in thing in this part of the world.
