Almost universally.

Like, the Babylonians named the planet after Nergal, their deity of fire, death, and destruction.

The Greeks looked at it and named it Ares, the god of war.

And the Romans adopted that and named it Mars.

The goal was to make sure he kept walking.

So it's not difficult to see why Babylonian tradition eventually connected these stars with Nergal as well.

The archer was already associated with judgment, battle, and the boundary between life and death.

Nergal added another layer, the unpredictable power that waits on the other side.

The Greeks saw a gifted hunter and friend of the Muses.

The Babylonians saw a warrior, a judge, and eventually the shadow of death itself.

The people from Babylon made Sukkoth-Benoth.

The people from Kuth made Nergal.

The people from Hamath made Ashima.

The Avites made Zibhaz and Tartak.
