Neo Turf Masters

I mean, we'd had Mario Golf before this, obviously Leaderboard, PGA and all this stuff.

But later on, we would get the Neo Geo game, Turfmasters, by the Nazca team who would go on to make Metal Slug.

And that, I can't even remember which one was, I think Turfmasters was before that.

Yeah.

But this basically Turf Masters is with 2D sprites, this same game, give or take.

Tournament Golf.

Oh, Big Tournament Golf.

Neo Turf Masters in Japan.

Yeah, yeah.

And on the Neo Geo machines actually had a lot of really fun little sports games.

Like there's Baseball Stars, there's Neo Turf Masters, which is their golf game, which is like amazing arcade golf.

It's better than Golden Tee.

But also there was like, there was, there was Base Wars where there were robots playing baseball that I played a lot of.

It's very N64 sounding, obviously.

But it's hard not to think about where the Neo Turf Masters soundtrack at.

Like, I want to I want to be I want to be throwing my ass in a circle on the on the links.

Yeah.

like they kind of truncate a lot of the stuff between golf and like tiger woods you know even though there does seem to be a ton of stuff like how do you think this game fits in like you know how what's its legacy i guess

it won't really have one just because yeah it's too simmy and by virtue of being like too simmy of a sports video game it is uh it is denigrated to be lost forever just because unless you're a golf dad you're not really going to want to engage with this like it asks something you mentioned earlier is like if you came to this you would be confused it's like yeah of course you would you need to be the type of person who would want to come to this in the first place yeah um and if you are the type of person who want to come to this i think this is a really good game but like there's no there's no room or in history for something like this because it's, it is just for the people it's for.

And it cannot be for people who are not looking for it the way that something like Neo turf masters will bring you to golf.

Mario golf will bring you to golf.

Then, obviously, Neo Geo Pocket with...

Neo Turf Masters, Mario Golf on Game Boy Advance.

Played that so much.

Then Everybody's Golf on PSP and Vita.
