Neo Geo

So I'm going to give that a bash this week.

mate that is one of my favorite carts stevens of asterborg and aster bros it's it's an absolute kicker it's so good so hopefully you will enjoy that for sure uh i have been playing flea run but i'll get to that in a moment because um i have been going back over there's two games on neo geo collection one that i've been wanting to mission through um It's not particularly long, but it's one that I've had a go at and was like, I would really like to go back to that.

So I did.

And it was absolutely delightful.

Let's jump to the next seven forces.

Did Derek, do you think we will see the third or fourth Fisco cards? They seem to be pretty solid back catalog of games.

um i don't think there's any hurry there really um i think pretty much what they've covered in those first couple of collections is uh is most of what people need um who knows what the future holds and if if times get a little bit tight yeah i'm sure you know that's something they might revisit but I think next year what they need to do, obviously, we already know there's some more Neo Geo coming.

But I think it's time to freshen things up a little bit.

It has 7,000 arcade games going back to the very first arcade game ever created all the way up to, I think I have like to 2018.

Um, then I have every Nintendo game ever created, every super Nintendo game ever created, um, Every Neo Geo game ever created.

PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, Nintendo 64.

Is it any surprise that now they're getting to PlayStation 3, 4, 5? It's not.

But it turns out there is going to be a more closer to the arcade conversion coming from New Old Pixels.

Now, they've confirmed three officially licensed ports of the arcade game that are currently in development for the Mega Drive, the Neo Geo, and interestingly, the Amiga as well, but the AGA Amiga.

Oh, wow.

Yeah.

Growl was fine.

What's that one? The Contra rip-off game that they did.

um thunder fox yeah that's pretty yeah and like rastan saga 2 if anyone's ever played that that's diabolical but then it was a bad arcade game so that could definitely be improved on and a neo geo i would assume there's well no that's obviously it's not been on neo geo before so that's a kind of something entirely new

i think the main thing is with a lot of the conversions looking at them i was just looking at the amigo one then because as dan said it was quite a good port um and then i just looked at the sega mega drive one for reference i think it's the coloring the colors look quite washed out compared to the arcade version um so obviously the neo geo that kind of makes sense because if that's what they're going to go for and make it more colorful because of I always associate the Neo Geo being super colourful and super bright.

So that will be interesting to mess around with.

Also, for the Neo Geo stuff, if you're not familiar, the Neo Geo cards actually come with both the arcade and console versions.

And you can actually toggle which versions you get when you load up one of those cards.

So that's a really cool little touch.

basically what we're looking at is no one's gonna buy a xbox helix or a playstation 6 like who the hell's gonna buy

that i think the other interesting thing is how much of this keeps neo geo collectors are just gonna buy those dude i saw i do with the neo geo shirt at disneyland yesterday and i was like

so he paid three times the price of other t-shirts

well of course he's at disneyland um
