God, I can't remember.

Mark of the Wolves was an old Neo Geo game from the 90s.

It's one of the best fighting games of its time, and it's really fun.

And I love the look of that game, but, man, I don't know.

Starting off, this is kind of a bit of a sad story here.

SNK, I don't know if you remember, they announced that they were making a Neo Geo AES re-release, which is their advanced entertainment system.

So essentially, they were re-releasing the original Neo Geo AES.

That has since been delayed by nearly a year due to component shortages.

So they have announced that the Neo Geo AES Plus will now release in 2027, September 16th, 2027, a whole 10 months later than initially planned.

So this is the SNK and PlayOn collaboration.

that was announced a while back, but they said that the two companies said the slip was due to the global component supply constraints, which meant that they can simply not manufacture enough systems to deliver the worldwide launch that their community deserves.

Rather than launch with severely limited availability, we're taking the extra time to expand production, secure the components we need, and invest in an even bigger future for Neo Geo AES.

CDI, Neo Geo AES, way too expensive.

But probably the most common thing we see across them is that they just didn't have really good third party support from game developers.

Most of them had really convoluted development needs for their console because they were kind of a brand new user interface.

I just I kind of this is not at all unexpected to me.

I just I hope it all works out because this project is much bigger than Neo Geo.

If this works, spinning off an ASIC from a Mr. FPGA course, spending the millions of dollars it's probably taking to do that and reselling something to the community that's a plug and play replacement for your original, if this actually works and it makes a profit and people support it, We could potentially see that for all the other consoles, one at a time, or maybe multiple companies will step up, but somebody needs to prove that this is actually doable.

Because companies like Hyperkin could absolutely do this.

Yo lo había comprado para PlayStation 4 y me fui para eBay para ver si lo compraba y dije: "Me voy a aguantar" porque vi que no estaba corriendo bien y vi en los foros que, o sea, no, no fluía como, como el tradicional NeoGeo o con una colección de PlayStation 2 que salió de SNK.

Por cierto, lo tengo en versión física.

Pero nada, están presentando Metal Slug Ultimate Collection, que sale para Switch 1 y 2 para el 2027.

I woke up to that news today, and I was not thrilled because they have my money.

Obviously, we had it on Super Nintendo.

But I mentioned it a lot that we used to rent Neo Geo.

We did not own Neo Geo.

You had to be filthy rich to own a Neo Geo.

The cartridges themselves were a few hundred dollars because it's basically an arcade in your home.

And pretty much, I want to think every time we rent it one of the Fatal Fury games for me for Neo Geo.

So I have like a lot of fond memories of this game and was happy to see it coming to switch to.

And that's a big W to get a good fighter over here to compete with Street Fighter six.
