Paul Gallen is giving himself a fair chance of winning when he comes out of boxing retirement against Nelson Asofa-Solomona in November.

The Cronulla legend has told Sports Today he doesn't think the former Storm prop has the mental resilience to take on a real boxer.

We heard Nelson Asofa-Solomona over summer speak quite openly of the fact that part of the reason that he sort of left the game was because of that he is a big body and he was struggling with not only the speed of the game, but the Match Review Committee and all the charges and stuff like that.

Is that something that you're aware of now, like, in terms of, um, having to be a bit more careful when, when you're defending or is that something in the back of your mind?
