Neil Pierre

I think it's something many like hardcore fans over the last 10, 15 years came to know and like tune in for and waited for.

And as development gets better, it's a chance to see guys like Yes, it worked out this year, but there's a really good chance in the future that the next Kevin Sullivan and Neil Pierre and Gozo and Mehmeti, that they get their first call-up for one of these December camps.

Interesting point you brought up.

And as you were throwing out possible things to tie it into, I think of MLS Next Fest, which is in Phoenix this year and I think wraps up on the 12th of December.

You brought this to my attention, Robert.

The 6'7 center back, Neil Pierre.

Remember when you brought this up to me a few months ago? You're like, who's this 6'7 defender in Philadelphia, Neil Pierre? He doesn't need to be playing soccer.

Where would you like him to play? Another one of these kids.

Anywhere else.

And a lot of these players that we are talking about, and some that maybe we're not talking about, are coming on the radar or will come on the radar because of the way that this Red Bull team has approached this year.

Neil Pierre scored for Philadelphia, but they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to New England.

It's their first MLS loss since May.

They had been unbeaten in 15.

I'm Jimmy Conrad alongside Charlie Davies and Tony Meola.

And guys, we are back.

We are so back.

We are back and back, back squared.

Um, well-deserved, uh, Hey, my former teammate, Matt Reese, huh? Fantastic goalkeeper.

He used to have a lot of hair on his head and then it went like south for the rest of his body.

One of the hairiest guys I know.

That's super funny and probably too inside of a joke.

But they ended up getting...

They were at home and Neil Pierre got... goal really late on and they had like three minutes left and this is my favorite part of the game.

Neil Pierre is an 18-year-old center back, right? He has been playing very well since the World Cup break and Rector took over Philly.

He scores, he commits the penalty against Hill.

He gives away the penalty.

Peyton Miller, six, with New England.

Seven, Neil Pierre.

Nico Takeris with San Jose at eight.

Manu Dua with San Diego, nine.

Probably saying that wrong.

And then 22 for with FC Dallas.

But Philadelphia Union get three players on this list with Kevin Sullivan taking number one, followed by Neil Pierre at seven and then Frankie Westfield at 11.

This is back to back seasons now for Frankie Westfield to be on the 22 under 22 list.

Julian Hall is a double-digit goal scorer in MLS.

Aydin Mehmeti, Neil Pierre, Matisse Albert is breaking into the Dortmund first team.

He's, I think we know how talented he is.

In terms of first team minutes, I think he had the fewest and there was no qualms about him being there because if he played for, I don't know, insert a mid-table German team, he'd be playing, right? The importance of this group coming through wasn't like, hey, you had a good few weeks or you had a, you know, we know how good you were with the U-20s and U-17s and we want to bring you along.

Okay.

But this was, this was much more than okay.

I think, you know, I'm sure we'll get into names, but, but to me, you know, there were certain guys, um, you know, guys like, like, uh, the Pierre and Brooklyn rains and Mehmeti and Ellis who are, who are not quite there, right.

For, uh, okay, we need them now for this window to win games, but they're right there where you can call them in.

We're going to talk about the MLS's 2026-22 Under-22 Rankings.

And Neil Pierre got a new contract with the Philadelphia Union.

So before we dive in, what are we wearing today?

So we decided to go with hockey.

So shout out to that.

But let's get into this.

So over the course of last week, Kevin Sullivan, Frankie Westfield, Neil Pierre make the MLS 2026-2022 under 2022 ranking.

Ninth year that players from the Philadelphia organization have made the list.
