People weren't comfortable having a Jew in that position, he said.

Last month, the CBC pulled Jewish journalist Neil Herland off the air after he posted video of protesters shouting at Yom Kippur worshipers in Toronto, though media experts who reviewed his reporting for The Hub found nothing factually wrong with what he had posted.

In September, The Hub reported that 18% of Jewish federal public servants experienced discrimination or harassment, according to the 2024 Public Service Employee Survey, double the service-wide averages.

At Correctional Service Canada, 49% of Jewish employees reported harassment compared to 27% department-wide.

Anyway, the protesters arrived, and as they were protesting, they shouted pro-Palestinian slogans.

Neil Herland, who is a CBC journalist, recorded them, posted a clip on X, and described the event as a, quote, synagogue service.

Due to this not being entirely accurate, and we'll go into a little bit of why it's not entirely inaccurate, it's kind of like a weird area there, but because of this in the video obscuring the main purpose of the event, which was Mark Regev speaking, CBC News suspended him.

Alex, again, that's a lot.

And a lot of other outlets like the Times of Israel, Jerusalem Post, Fox News have kind of followed this framing.

And here's how Kinsella introduces this event in his article.
