Beating the pre-race favourite Neil Gourley, a four-time British 1500m champion.

He was just 0.8 seconds behind in 4.18.4. Third place was taken by a North West athlete.

It was Daniel Bebbington in 4.18.7. He's a Blackburn Harrier.

yeah that's the thing as well that's as well to the best 1500m runners in Britain right now are all from Scotland, and two of them are from the same club, and one of them is the world record holder now as well, so that's only going to inspire people like yourself.

I've not done any research on this subject, but I was going to look up to see what Josh, Jake's and Neil Gourley's times were when they were at your age, just to do a bit of a comparison to see if you're well ahead of them.

no I wasn't actually I've looked this up before because you know it's a cool thing to look up I think we were all around the same times to be honest I don't I've not looked up Neil Gurley's but I think we were all around all around the 341 342 mark so yeah it's cool to see your name next to them
