in i'm alan partridge where obviously the camera isn't a part of that fiction it's not a documentary in that sense that the offices where they know there's a camera and they sort of do little looks to camera that's when i think he flourishes when he's being observed rather than when he's i mean obviously he's brilliant when he's presenting but i prefer sort of being a voyeur of Alan's life than when I'm watching him in a sort of scripted presentation.

Well, the Gibbons brothers have really given it a breath of fresh air.

And I think it's just, I feel apologetic when I talk about partridge pre gibbons because i still love all that stuff i just think mid-morning matters is is peak for me uh and there's a lot of i see a lot of debate in you know uh clips and underneath and i'll read comments and stuff like that and and some people are just very much it ends at i'm alan partridge for them they don't like any of the new stuff
