Negative Zone

Yeah.

You don't take a nihilist lightly, especially if you're in the negative zone.

And that's another thing.

Anytime you see a nihilist, just like AIM or The Watcher or whatever, I feel like you're in for a good issue.

And even if he's not written that well, it still seems like it works and you enjoy the story quite a bit.

I'm really into The Negative Zone.

I don't know how we're going to cover it one day, but I would love to talk about The Negative Zone more.

But...

With the Avengers gone, Storm and Wolverine respond by assembling an elite group of mutant heroes, and their first mission involves the invasion from the Negative Zone, something that normally the Fantastic Four even deals with.

So they're going into the Negative Zone, and this is gonna be interesting.

And who's in the Negative Zone? Annihilus.

So they're gonna have to most likely deal with him, and possibly a new threat, a new villain called Retribution.

So this is apparently is, uh, the new antagonist that Christopher Yelts writer, Christopher Yelts has created and will be introduced in this story.

Um, it's not that the madness and the, the tantalizing want to know more about the Negative Zone isn't there, but I wanted to show people, like, how close he was to the cliff's edge to begin with.

Uh, Negative Zone, let's talk about that because that was-

And Sue ends up using her advantage to get Reed out of jail, and, uh, brings him in.

And she's like, "I, I know what you're doing," and shows him some footage that, like, nobody saw of her in her last rocket test, and how when the rocket exploded, it pierced the veil between our world and the Negative Zone, which I believe is what she thinks Reed was trying to access.

Uh, but even if it isn't, she's like, "You know how to...

Y- your, your wheelhouse is piercing the veil."

[laughs]

when, but they wanna access the Negative Zone, so I'm thinking Annihilus, 'cause, like, obviously Annihilus is, like, a more Cthulhu-esque character.

Okay.

The remaining Fantastic Four members are weary, and when Doom suggests that the only way they will survive their planned trip into the Negative Zone will be from their aid, Ben openly laughs at Doom.

When Doom tries to convince them that he will be the key in learning the secret of the Beyonders...

Ben refuses to believe it, especially since the last Beyonder that Doom interacted with, Doom stole his powers and threatened the universe.

When they still will not listen, Doom drops a time shift bomb that puts the hero's two seconds out of sync.

out of sync with Doom and flees into Reed Richards' lab.

There, Doom activates the Negative Zone portal and dives in before the heroes can stop him.

With Alicia at risk of being sucked in, Johnny saves her before Ben and Sharon close the portal.

It turns out to be a Pym Particle prison, if I remember rightly.

Like, it's a shrunk down prison where they shrink everybody and put them into this fucking prison in the Negative Zone.

Which, if you remember, the Negative Zone, that's like where-

Fuck, who's that guy there? There's a, the king of the-

Annihilus.

Yeah, those guys.

Yeah.

It is, uh, it is a horrible place, and to put superheroes into a Pym prison in the Negative Zone is just, it's fucking beyond the pale.

They get trapped in, like, a bubble or whatever it is.

Called it the Neg- Negative Zone until they decided the Negative Zone was something different.

It's like a force field, and they c- they have, like, a whole city inside the force field, but they can't leave-
