Ned Leeds

I've, I've heard this rumor as well.

In fact, uh, isn't it- Uh, at the end of Brand New Day, Ned's, uh, Spider-Man thing kind of-

Yeah.

Okay.

What got to me more was the relationship with the others, the special police officer, uh, on the phone.

Frank Castle, I rarely laugh out loud in the cinema, but Frank in the Spidey mask at the hospital absolutely did it for me, and Ned and MJ, of course.

But one I haven't seen... uh, s- I didn't see coming, uh, was the Hulk.

The fact that he remembered him, the emotion in his face when he let go.

What is it to make...

I never remember the details of these Marvel movies, but yes, Spider-Man has to compromise and say, Everybody can forget who I am because he believes he'll be able to make MJ and Ned remember him.

Okay.

But at the end, in this new movie, they don't remember him.

And their lives, like, have moved on.

But Ned is, like, obsessed with Spider-Man.

This was actually, like, one of the cuter things in the film.

And it will go into the next one, too.

I think the first one is from 2017.

And our friends Ned and MJ and Peter Parker are looking really... fresh-faced and squeaky clean.

They did amazing casting work with Tom Holland.

He's just like a delight.

And I could tell that it was losing my kid.

My youngest kid was losing interest at that explanation, but it wins it back because that movie really lets the kids come into the foreground and The actors that are playing Spidey, Peter Parker's friends, I forget all their names.

I think there's Betty, Ned, Flash, MJ, and then Peter Parker's love rival, Brad, are all fantastic young actors.

They obviously have a lot of charisma and trust.

In fact, isn't it? At the end of Brand New Day, Ned's Spider-Man thing, kind of? Okay.

All right.

I say Tom, especially Peter, kind of learning that he can be both Spider-Man and Peter Parker by the end of the movie.

He can have what Peter wants, even dabbing up Ned.

I also love how they didn't give him everything back that he lost on the way home.

Obviously, he loses...

MJ by the end of No Way Home and by that I mean she obviously forgets him and then they work to get them back into like oh maybe they'll get back together and then they don't and I really like that because it's more I think it really works for the character because he doesn't give him everything back but by the end Ned like I don't think Ned realises that Peter is Peter I think he realises that oh Spider-Man is Peter so I think that's I really like that.

I don't think he gets his memory back or anything like that.

I just think, actually he clocks like that from the little dab up and stuff.

But I also, because Mary, because MJ says Peter and Ned goes, Spider-Man's real name is Peter.

Inevitably, it results in them becoming completely consumed by their desire to maintain that power, and this scene in particular of Hal trying to strangle John is almost a perfect parallel to Smeagol choking Deagol.

I know it's a super nerdy reference, or sick reference if you're Peter Parker and Ned, uh, but it really highlights just how lost both John and Hal are here due to their desire to be a Green Lantern.

They're so focused on this while the people of Rushville are getting shit on by lasers outside, and it's all while they have this little tussle.

However, as Hal tries to choke the life out of John, John breaks Hal's hold and then starts laying into him.
