Nebula

Jay Russian, question for Paige.

What are the ages of your kids? And for Jackie, are you more of a Nebula or a Gamora in the personality there?

Gamora.

Gamora, for sure.

I think we'll discuss Peaks and everything.

But I remember just kind of this combination in particular of Brody and Nebula.

I remember just kind of being in awe of it in the cinema because like I did not, you could have given me a board to write down 10,000 different combinations of characters going into the movie.

I would never have put these two together.

Oh yeah, she's like, she radios to Rhodey, like, be careful on the entry, there's an idiot on the bench or something.

Yeah.

But yeah, we've discussed Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, obviously, but like, I think Nebula and Rocket coming in from this into that just really kind of helps that story as well.

Vormir, let's end with Vormir.

So I took that off and I put on a doll look and I got rid of the smile, made it a normal face and did like broken doll makeup.

And then, dude, and then from there, I did full Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy, wig off, head shaved, full painted blue, everything.

Like, I did, I did the most this night.

Like, I went, like, the makeup change was crazy from all three, and just with, like, a sponge and three brushes and a fucking dream.

Kind of like what happened with

Nebula.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Where it's just like a small infection at the beginning.

Number three is a near 180, and that is from the movie Avengers Infinity War, Thanos, the big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He is the father to Gamora and Nebula, who, Ben, you remember from Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 1.

Sure do.

Yep.

Thanos forces his daughters to fight.

Gamora almost always beats Nebula.

And as a result, Nebula has various body parts replaced for robotic features as a result of being punished.

And then in order to conquer the universe and acquire all of the Infinity Stones, thanos sacrifices gamora to acquire the soul stone a soul for a soul

But the one I thought was definitely longer ...

Now, I haven't done a scene-by-scene comparison, but I think I know this scene well enough to think there were at least a couple of extra shots in it, was the opening with Tony Stark and Nebula in space being rescued by Captain Marvel.

Yeah.

Captain Marvel's approach seemed much, much longer, and I think we got additional bits of Tony being visibly on his last legs.

Oh, yeah, yeah.

She turns to Nebula.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I li- I liked those little moments, but-

That was a good twist when they switch, switched the Nebulas.

Yeah.

I forgot about that.

[gasps] Another great scene.

Tony Stark and Nebula are passing the time playing paper football.

Their ship, uh, the Guardians Benatar, is, you know, on its last bit of energy.

No power.

It's just so well done.

So he tells Pepper that, first of all, he hopes that she hasn't been snapped.

We learn that Nebula saved his life.

Recall that at the end of Infinity War, Thanos has stabbed Tony-

It's, it's like when you watch the first Guardians of the Galaxy.

By the time they get, you get to Endgame, you would never in a million years think that you'd be so endeared to, like, Nebula, you know?

100%, yeah.

I'm having so much fun with, uh, Infi- the rewatch happening.
