Nazz

I'm, I'm all in.

I love The Nazz.

Opened My Eyes is such a groovy song.

He was a power pop influencer for all of his bands I love.

Yep.

And I went to Forest Hills for, they were having a concert, and one of the opening acts was Nazz, which was the group-

Oh, yep

... with Todd Rundgren.

Then they changed their name to The Spiders.

Then they changed their name to Nazz, uh, which was also the same band name that Todd Rundgren was using.

Ooh.

Uh, w- and he was on a major label at the time, so they changed their name to Alice Cooper, largely because it sounded innocuous and wholesome-

I'd play the song, but we get flagged by the police.

And then I went from there to what other songs did Todd produce that under a different name? When he got started, he had a group called Naz, N-A-Z-Z.

And their hit record was Hello, It's Me, which was released twice, once as Nas in the 60s.

And then on the flip side of it, there was a song called Open Your Eyes, which is sort of like a psychedelic, high electric guitar kind of song, which incidentally, the A side was Open My Eyes.
