It was at Tara that King Lughaidh Mac Néill reportedly challenged Saint Patrick, defending his ancient pagan sovereignty.

At Rathcroghan, the formidable Queen Medb launched her legendary cattle raid, while at Navan, King Conchobar mac Nessa ruled Ulster through warrior codes and divine decree.

Yet, while surviving mythology paints a vivid picture of these rulers and their kingdoms, it reflects medieval tradition as much as Iron Age reality.

And behind the legends lie a fundamental debate, a question of how or even if Ireland became Celtic.

That is, uh, actually a very interesting question because if you think about it, actually, the famous sites in Irish Iron Age, um, the Irish Iron Age, like Tara-

... and Meath and Rathcroghan in the west of Ireland and Navan Fort or Emain Macha in the north are not obviously situated on major routeways.

All of them, in different ways, were located on high ground in important locations that probably were of some sanctity from at least the Neolithic.

I'm just going to run through it here.

Singapore Airlines joins a growing list of airlines with next-generation NDC connections to Navan, including SAS, Qantas, ETA Airways, Emirates and Lufthansa Group.

SAP Concur has expanded its AI-powered meeting planning agent through an integration with meetings platform GroupEyes, helping organizations simplify the planning and management of meetings and events.

Powered by SAP's Joule AI Assistant, the solution allows planners to search for destinations using natural language while evaluating factors such as airfare, hotel pricing, venue characteristics, and local events that could impact costs or availability.

Narrative two: Singapore Airlines onboarded two corporate travel platforms to direct NDC connections in four days.

Navan on August 10th, Spotnana on the 13th.

The aggregation layer lost the same customer twice in one week.

And then the harder question underneath it, which is whether any of this survives AI agents.

A direct connect is the seller building and maintaining a point-to-point integration into one airline's own API.

You take on the version upgrades, the certification, the servicing edge cases, all of it, in exchange for full-fidelity content and no intermediary in the path.

On August tenth, Navan, which has been public on the NASDAQ since last October, announced it had upgraded its Singapore Airlines NDC access from an aggregated connection to a direct connection, running on the carrier's Amadeus Altair NDC twenty-one point three API.

Navan says over seventy percent of Singapore Airlines bookings now go through the NDC channel.
