Now, if you're a parent in Limerick trying to find a childcare place, you may well know just how difficult it has become.

According to the National Women's Council, new figures from Publ show that 3,073 children in Limerick are currently on waiting lists for early years childcare.

and paying the wages for early years educators as a way of bringing down costs for parents.

And we can see that through this deepening childcare crisis, through these ever increasing waiting lists, that they're not doing the work that we need them to be doing.

And where did the request come from? It came from the National Women's Council of Ireland.
