They're doing a lot of work for trying to change the culture around how we view stuttering through art, and it's, they have so many wonderful resources.

Um, I've been going to the NSA conferences.

So as much exposure as you can get as just a person, not even a clinician, with the stuttering community, I think is a great place to start.

And then there are a lot of great resources out there too now for professional development hours.

Whenever he reached out to me, I was so happy.

We met at the NSA, so it was just amazing whenever I heard that, that, that you guys wanted to have me here.

And one of the f- first things I learned about how you discovered me before we started rec- recording was you, um, have been in speech therapy.

Um, and that's kind of how you started being exposed to Proud Stutter and the stuttering c- c- c- community.

Yeah.

So we actually meet once a month.

It's like the NSA meetups, and I love it.

I feel like if I miss a month, I definitely feel it.

Nina has volunteered with several stuttering support organizations as well as ASHA committees.

Her awards include, get this, the National Stuttering Association's SLP of the Year and Hall of Fame awards, as well as ASHA Foundation's Van Hattem Award, ASHA's Excellence Award for Pre-K Education, and she's also an ASHA Fellow.

And most notably, this is her third speech link appearance.

But it's been over five years, okay? Oh, and it's been way too long.
