National Security Entry-Exit Registration System

And one of the ways it has been able to do so, especially when it comes to the Muslim community, is by using immigration tools.

And what the Bush administration did in 2008 was institute a special registry called the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System, in which they had boys and men from 24 mostly Muslim-majority countries register with the government.

You know, they included, funny enough, Venezuela and North Korea in the mix to say, hey, we're not targeting Muslims, but this is how they were able to get away with it.

And these are the appointments people were told to think creatively about the document because they had to sign up and then go in person, right, to a government office?
