National Physique Committee

Well, I want to make sure the listeners know because I don't want anybody confused.

So I'm looking at npcnewsonline.com. It's the fit model competitor rules under competition suit criteria.

Of course, it says the suit must be one plain color.

It has to be material, spandex or metallic.

I didn't get them when they were at the Olympia level.

I got them before they were even NPC champions or had ever placed well at a pro show, and we went to Olympia.

So that was always fun for me.

Then over the course of the year, then you have some people that are Olympians that reach to you for coaching.

Because once you reach first place in novice, you can no longer sign up for it.

That's how the National Physique Committee works.

You'd have to now sign up for open or one of the other classes.

So there's true novice, novice, open, and masters.

So for the purpose of this podcast, I want to talk about the top two federations that you will normally want to compete in.

That's going to be the National Physique Committee, MPC, or the OCB, right? The OCB has always been natural.

It's been natural 100%.

It's never been a federation that allowed any kind of steroids or hormones or any of that, right? The OCB stands for Organization of Competition Bodies, if you didn't know what that means.

All right, so those are the main two that women are thinking about competing in, so I want to focus on those two.

But there are other national federations, and a lot of women don't even know that the MPC, the National Physique Committee, does have natural events.

And over the last three to five years, from my experience working with women, there are more and more shows.

I would be surprised if you didn't see somewhere near you a MPC show and it says natural.

Uh, what was that? Last week already.

Um, so he is the official tanning company of the Olympia, the Arnold, and tons of the NBC, IPB pro shows that you're seeing all over the world.

So fitness, I've been around it my whole life.

I used to actually be a little fitness model when I was two years old for his clothing company [chuckles] called Built, and he actually had a clothing company called Bum.

And she wasn't allowed to.

It's not the NPC or IFBB.

That's actually the venue.

It's the same thing with alcohol.
