National Marine Conservation Area

And that's the Marine Conservation Area.

Yes, the National Marine Conservation Area that Parks Canada was going to put in place, uh, one of the, the only one in the, on the, in the Atlantic Canada area.

And when that fell apart, I, I decided that it was time to have individuals step up and foundations to protect that area and kind of recreate what they did and, and maybe at some point in time it comes back.

Okay.

So I think partnering up with the West Coast, partnering up with, with Fogo Island to create a dynamic on the West Coast here of Newfoundland is spectacular, and I think it's not beyond the reach at all.

It's very achievable, and we're very much in the middle of it now.

So does a national marine conservation area or a national park have to be part of that, or not necessarily so?

It doesn't have to be part of it initially.
