National Finals Steer Roping

What we got?

So let me tell you, I will tell you this, I do hold the record for tying the most steers down at the Steer Roping Finals.

You do?

77 in a row.

I'm Will Rasmussen.

Today, my great friend, Steve Kenyon of the Cowboy Channel and a terrific, talented rodeo announcer who was recently chosen to announce the National Finals Breakaway Roping and the National Finals Steer Roping.

We go back and, uh, reminisce about when we first met back in nineteen ninety-four.

Steve Kenyon coming up next.

So, yeah, we're going to be 9-2-0, locked down for this weekend at least.

Well, last week on Wednesday, they selected or they announced the selected positions for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and the Wrangler National Finals Steer Roping.

And so congratulations to Roger Mooney, Wayne Brooks, and Anthony Lucia, the announcers for the NFR.

Congratulations to Brad Narducci, who is the music director once again.

They're announcing I'll be doing the music at the National Final Steer Roping in Mulvane, Kansas, the second weekend in November.

And one of the timers is a close family friend, Miss Kate Rumford, gets to go back.

The 9-2-0 and the 6-2-0 will be well represented in Mulvane, Kansas for the National Finals Steer Roping.

Remind everybody, October 9th through the 11th, the Big Top Rodeo Announcer and Music Director Seminar, Scott Grover, working with the announcers, yours truly, working with the music directors, and we got a pretty good group right now.
