National Emergencies Act

Rick, something tells me that the National Emergency Act does not work this way at all.

No, it doesn't.

But this has been a longstanding crusade by the most extreme of the election deniers.

That's not an exception, which also goes to a conversation we've had many times, this idea of declaring a national emergency so that you can take over the elections.

No, the National Emergency Act is a switch.

If you turn it on, you still need a source of power.

Turning on the National Emergency Act doesn't give you any power over elections because there are no emergency statutes that empower you over

elections.

But Donald Trump has a Secretary of Defense who calls himself the Secretary of War.

And clearly these midterms are a problem.

I don't think anything but the National Emergency Act is going to work to save the midterms.

Polymarket has now raised the odds that Democrats will sweep the House.

Ugly.

I don't know.

It's ugly.

Again, that doesn't come into, that doesn't talk about the National Emergency Act, but I know there's a lot of people in the administration that are telling Donald Trump to not do the National Emergency Act.

I don't know why.

I just, I'm just trying to figure out what are we doing and what are we waiting for? The midterms are right around the corner.

I've said it before, if you aren't gonna pull martial law on the National Emergency Act, if that's not gonna happen, and I'm not saying it's going to, the only other o- opportunity would've been hundreds of deep state arrests, 'cause you would've convinced the voter base, you would've compelled America, you would've showed them there was a bunch of fraud.

I don't care if the arr- I, I don't care if the full cases couldn't have gone forward, but if you arrested about 1,000 deep state government gangsters, imagine the impact.

You know, I, how, how much do we hear of ICE going in California? I mean, 'cause you know it's gotta be a free-for-all over there.

They only care about themselves.

They only care about grifting, graphing, stealing, committing fraud, and lying to the public.

You better use it at the polls, but you better also tell the administration that it's time for the martial law National Emergency Act and you support it because I don't think we can fix the voting system in time for the midterms.

So I think part of the point is how we critically evaluate our fight and the tools, understanding that they have tried to and in some cases have successfully taken the tools that we relied on for the last 50 years.

Now, do I believe that once we lose the midterms, which I believe is a foregone conclusion, unless, of course, he pulls the National Emergency Act or martial law, which I think he's more than justified because there is domestic and international interference, but that's a different topic.

If we had some circus music, music, I'd crank it up right now because it's going to be nothing but a clown show.

All the little Democratic clowns are going to pile out of that one car and there's going to be hundreds of them and they're going to be, oh, my.

god he's a threat to our democracy we'll get that all over the news channels and it'll be on i just don't think there's any option here i think donald trump is in a corner the judiciary isn't going to help him the department of justice isn't going to help him his own administration is going to help him he's got one choice the national emergency act

Well, and I believe if he were to abolish the IRS or do something significant, you know, shut down the Federal Reserve or, you know, do something for real, arrest Omar, you know, something significant could turn this thing around.

Finally, there's Section 2808 of U.S. Code 10.

If the president declares a national emergency under the National Emergencies Act, which he can do, it is an executive authority.

There are any number of those out there.

We could do a whole program on how once these are declared, they never come back.
