Horikoshi was an engineer who designed several fighter jets for Mitsubishi during World War II.

After the war, he became a professor at the National Defense Academy at Nihon University and a lecturer at the University of Tokyo.

Hori was a literature student who suffered from tuberculosis.

While receiving treatment, he fell in love with Ayako Yano, another patient, and the two married, and Hori wrote a novel, The Wind Rises, about his experiences.

There are many milestones in between.

But for me, someone, a BSc, JNU, NDA, it was a big achievement because finally you are the man who has the go, no go on every aspect.

Finally, you are there.

And I still remember the director, Bach, who was Mr. Sanjay Basu, when he took our final clearances for giving, because it's very strictly controlled.

So let me put it this way.

Where are we today in jointness? The Indian nation or the Indian military set up the National Defense Academy, which is years ahead in terms of its joint vision.

When at the first stage, you say we will have a joint academy.

When we went to the NDA, while we had different wings, everywhere you were joint.

According to a PIB release, the air marshal was commissioned into the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot on sixth December, nineteen eighty-six.

He is an alumnus of National Defense Academy, Pune, Air Force Test Pilot School, Bengaluru, Air Command and Staff College, USA, and Royal College of Defense Studies, UK.

A fighter combat leader and an experimental test pilot, Retired Air Marshal Mishra has more than three thousand hours of flying experience.

He's also the recipient of Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal.
