National Computational Infrastructure

I might just briefly touch on public compute, because we had the chiefs of the two public supercomputing facilities.

So you've got Pawsey and you've got the National Computational Infrastructure.

Pawsey in Perth and NCI in Canberra, and much of the hearings over the last week have been about the private compute side of things, but they were making the case for the public compute, and that anything the government does around a public reserve from those sort of hyperscale, uh, facilities must be a complement to anything they do in terms of public compute infrastructure.

So Australia's public supercomputers are already massively oversubscribed.
