Um, and then they go to what we would refer to as the single service.

So depending on which service they belong to, if it's the Army, they'll go through the National Army Museum for them to look at.

For the, uh, RAF, it's the Air Historical Branch, for the Navy, the Navy Historical Branch.

Um, and we also, um, will research the case from scratch ourselves.

I won't allow it.

So, the UK's National Army Museum writes, Commander recruits were trained at special centres in Scotland.

They learnt physical fitness, survival, orienteering, close quarter combat, silent killing- Nice throw.

Signalling, amphibious and cliff assault, vehicle operation- Killing frogs? Yeah.

do that.

I've never been to the National Army Museum.

The

National Army Museum is excellent.

But they've got a big sort of refurb about two, three years ago.

I believe it's all open again now, and it's an excellent, excellent museum.

Now this is where we need to pause because historians now question this part of the story.

The National Army Museum specifically notes they believe she never served in Geis' regiment and that she fabricated this ordeal.

Why would she invent it? We don't know.

Perhaps because a better story sold more books.

This exhibit, but it's actual wartime souvenirs.

The first time I sort of learned the difference between American and European museums, I was in the Army Museum in Chelsea, the National Army Museum in England.

And, you know, in the Air and Space Museum, American History Museum, all the ones around D.C., those are actual period, you know, uniforms from the 1940s, things like that.

And they had a soldier fighting the Napoleonic Wars in Waterloo.
