National Alopecia Areata Foundation

So great to be here.

So the reason we're talking today is to get a recap of the National Alopecia Areata Foundation patient meeting that took place this last summer.

And since we've just wrapped up Alopecia Areata Awareness Month, and we're headed into the Pedra Annual Conference, I thought now was a really good time to meet with you and talk about that meeting as a whole.

Can you give our listeners sort of a, a high level general overview of this conference?

Absolutely.

NAAF is the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, and what I think is really special about the annual conference is that it's fundamentally a patient and family conference.

Um, and it really brings together people living with alopecia areata, um, their parents and caregivers, children and young adults, uh, clinicians, researchers, and the advocates all in the same space.

And that creates a very different ex- experience from a traditional medical or scientific meeting.
