Nathan Hanson

This Tuesday, October 20th, I am playing a set at Close House with my friend Levi Raleigh-Brown, percussionist.

We are opening for Minnesota musicians Nathan Hanson, the saxophonist, Steve Hirsch, the drummer.

They are on tour right now.

Nathan Hanson is a 2026 American Composers Forum McKnight Fellow.

So come on out Tuesday night on the 20th at Close House for some improvisation, experimental, jazzy kind of stuff.

It'll be a good night.

Who else has got something?

Nathan Hanson.

Let's hear it for Nathan Hanson.

[clapping]

All right, hopefully you got the cramp out.

A week after that, October 20th, I'll be playing a duo set on my Barry sax with percussionist Levi Raleigh-Brown.

We're opening for a couple guys from Minnesota, Nathan Hanson on saxophone, Steve Hirsch on drums.

Nathan Hanson, by the way, is the 2026 American Composers Forum McKnight Fellow.

And all four of us will be playing at the Close House in Iowa City October 20th.

And then at Refocus Film Festival, Film Scenes Film Festival, I'm going to play music before a couple of their movies that they're showing at their Ped Mall location on October 23rd.
