Nathan Hale High School

Noelle Gasca has the story.

In coming months, students at Rainier Beach High School and Nathan Hale High School will start their day by walking through the freestanding pillars you might see at a Mariners game or the mall.

According to Superintendent Ben Schultiner, the request to add weapons detectors came directly from the schools themselves.

The two schools that have asked for the pilot, you know, they're gonna kinda build around what they think success looks like.

So on Thursday, we raced against Lincoln.

And Sass and Nathan Hale, I believe.

And no offense against any of those schools, but they just don't have the guns to go with us at all.

So we swept the top nine positions.
