Nathan Gaucher

Again, this is an opportunity for guys like Sam Colangelo and Nikita Nestorenko to really step up and make their shot.

I think Nathan Gaucher had a great conversation with us where he talked about his determination knowing that this could be his last training camp with the Ducks.

He's at the end of his contract.

This is the team he was drafted by.

We look at, you know, someone like a Connor McDavid and who's playing with Connor McDavid? Leon Draisaitl.

Who's playing with Martin Necas? Nathan MacKinnon, one of the best players in the world.

Um, Martin Necas in his first full season in Colorado got 38 goals, 100 points, and that was with Colorado's power play being absolute dog water.

I don't know how they were so bad, but they were.

Um, they were 17.1% on the power play, which is good for 27th in the NHL.

I'm looking at another year of him building chemistry with Nathan MacKinnon, getting those top line minutes of 20 plus like Jared Bednar likes to give.

Um, I'm looking at him just continuing to build on his production.

If that power play gets cooking along, he could easily get another 10 points, so we're looking at 110 point Martin Necas and, you know, that's, that should be good for close to one of the top players in the league.

... a lot of scouting services early in his draft year who had him much higher ranked than 20th overall.

Next player, the ceiling's a little bit limited, but Anaheim right shot center Nathan Gaucher.

22nd overall in that '22 draft, 6'3", 207.

Just got into, uh, three NHL games at the end of last season.
