On the Civic calendar, the county is weighing how it handles trash for decades to come.

Council President Natali Fani-González's newsletter and MoCo Show say the council is evaluating options for managing trash disposal over the coming decades, with the next council meeting set for Tuesday, October twenty-seventh to discuss costs, environmental impact, and equity.

Residents can review the options and submit feedback on the council webpage.

Moe Kosho reports Council President Natali Fani-Gonzalez will brief the public today at 12.30 on county and state efforts to protect residents during an increase in ICE activity, along with pedestrian safety improvements in her district.

The briefing is open to the public.

Details on the county's website.

That's according to Montgomery Community Media and the county's own releases.

And behind the scenes, MoCo 360 and MyMCM report Council President Natali Fani-González and County Executive Marc Elrich are at odds over how fast to decide.

Fani-González is aiming for a council vote by late November.

If the incinerator's future matters to your household, the youth town hall this evening is one way in.

Two civic deadlines to note.
