Nastradamus

I was just like, yo.

Now granted, at the time, Nas' last album was Nostradamus, and it was not good.

I bought it out of straight-up support as a fan, you know, as a brother in Queensbridge, brother from another mother, Queensbridge, Brooklyn, Bed-Stuy, you know what I'm saying? But it was not good.

And for Jay-Z to be this popular, hit after hit dropping, album after album, to break down Nas' career, right? His albums and how he would produce and the average of those albums being hot over a period of time when really he just was saying like, yo, it was just ill-matic and it was written with, eh, which is not true.

Do y'all think, now, listen, let's just be honest for a second.

Illmatic, it was written, I Am, right? That era, because then we get the Nostradamus and then, I mean, Stillmatic after that, Stillmatic, amazing, God's Son, amazing, you know what I mean? But then Nas has like The Street's Disciple and like a couple other albums where it kind of gets like kind of weird sound-wise and all of that.

But I think Nas' first three albums the last six that he did with Hit-Boy are comparable.

Nothing is going to be Illmatic for people.
