Narada

It has become a fashion to become animal, that natural life.

People are gliding so low, Just like Narada Muni is a great saintly person and he is never angry but when he was passing through the way of heavenly planets there he saw that some of the boys of Kuvera with other girls, they are swimming naked.

And Narada Muni happened to be passing through that way.

So they were drunkard also.

So when Narada Muni was passing, the girls took care They immediately covered their body.

But the boys, they were so drunkard that they could not take care of their body.

They remained naked.

And Brahma has an opportunity to ask him directly, how do I create this world? What should I do? And Vishnu responds with seven verses, four of which have been regarded by the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition as being essential, Sridhar Swami also as being essential, the four essential verses of Bhagavatam that actually condense or summarize the entire text.

And then the chapter ends by saying that this same teaching was presented by Brahma, then to his son Narada, and then to his student Vyasadeva.

And Vyasa is of course the one who writes the Bhagavatam as we have it, and then teaches it to Shukadeva Goswami, who is the primary speaker of the Bhagavatam.

So it begins with creation and ends with the gifting of Bhagavatam and its lineage.

And of course, everything I said there requires more discussion because the chapter is unique and wonderful in many ways and regarded by those traditions who study the Bhagavatam and who regard it as scripture, not just the Gaudiyas, but also the Pushti Margi tradition, for example, all regard this chapter as crucial, both because it describes the genesis of creation, but also because it describes the genesis of the Bhagavata itself.

And therefore, it's the Bhagavatam's own beginnings, not from a narrative sense.

You need not be surprised that the ancient Roman law that existed during the time of Julius Caesar or Augustus Caesar, it contains certain terrible things.

These words filled Narada's mind with pleasure, and he laughed, jumped up and down, and shouted in joy.
