Napier Boys' High School

I've always thought that there's technology that can be brought into agriculture, but I've never thought of myself as someone who's really interested in tech or very well educated on it.

Were you educated? I was a good old Napier Boys boarder, and then I went straight from there to a small farming cadetship up in Gisborne.

I've been in the farming industry almost ever since.

I've worked under some absolutely amazing operators and, yeah, very valuable people.

our winter there, summer.

And I chatted to a few people out there about it because where I lived was right next to Napier Boys High School.

Which is one of the biggest rugby schools in New Zealand.

Won the national comp quite a few times and stuff.

It was a question like, I don't like putting a knife into the man.

What did he say? He used to say Napier Men's was Napier Boys.

That's what he used to call Napier Boys.

I was Napier Men's.

well turn all good boys into men yes um you're talking about npc moments of the year for me it was the harbour game against hawks bay hawks bay were like oh and five oh and oh sorry five and oh six and oh at the time yeah harbour came back at the end and broke their soul basically that was the end of hawks bay's season they just capitulated pretty much they got harbored Jesus.

Oh, wow.

And at Napier Boys High School.

Got through it, and then became head prefect.

Oh, wow.
