Before we get started with the show today, I do wanna say that CJSW both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuu T'ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda.

Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta Districts 5 and 6 This week is also kind of a special episode as we've officially hit, as of last Friday, officially hit our seventh-year anniversary.

So we're going [chuckles] into, I guess, our eighth year of radio, and wow, what a trip it has been.

CJSW broadcasts from the University of Calgary campus, located on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy, comprised of the Siksika, Wagani, and Kahnawa First Nations.

the Soutena First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda, including the Chinikee, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney First Nations.

The city of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Districts 5 and 6.
