Bones Hyland

Now it's time to be a guy, um, who we can rely on kind of at that, that next guard position.

Um, now, I think there's guys on this team, uh, for example, Bones Hyland, who, who may be able to put up bigger numbers.

Like, when he's, when Bones Hyland is going, when he's scoring the way that movie had last night with the inside right hand, like, just skipping through the lane, like, that's just vintage swaggy Bones Hyland.

I think Bones could be a guy that could put up kind of bigger scoring numbers.

But for me, w- in consistency and contributing to winning and being a guy, um, that will do whatever it takes to help this Timberwolves team win, um, that's Ayo Dosunmu.

I'm kinda gonna be bouncing back and forth and reviewing, uh, both games, [lips smack] um, in connection with, uh, four different players, basically.

Uh, the first I'm gonna talk about is Bones, Bones Hyland.

It has been said, I have said, um, that I would give minutes to Jalen Clark over Bones Hyland because of what he can offer defensively, something that Bones, um, can't.

Well, since then, um, Bones has, uh, flashed.

He has highlights.

He has been on ESPN highlights, um, in the game against the Heat in which he started, which the second team started.

Yeah.

So you had to enjoy the Bones Hyland show.

Um, uh, the, by the way, uh, we're recording this Monday after the big Vikings win, victory Monday, and the Wolves preseason game at New York tonight.

That'll be fun, and they will be playing the starters, I assume.

Well, no, definitely a couple squarely in the rotation.

Talk about your TJ Shannons, likely your Bones Highlands.

Those guys are going to play for the Timberwolves in the regular season.

And with none of the top six players in the rotation playing in Saturday's game against the Heat, Plenty of time for Shannon and Bones and Yuan Berenger and all that stuff.

So I want to start there.

And we'll get into some of the negatives a little bit later in the show, but a lot to get to.

As mentioned, none of the top six regular rotation guys played.

So your five starters, nor I would assume those six guys sat out.

Because I'm guessing DiVincenzo's not back.

I mean, Cody Williams, Jalen Clark, Terrence Shannon, Bones Hyland, Trey Lyles.

Uh, Timbs ran out Trey Lyles, Barringer, Jaylen Clark, TSJ, Bones Bones.

Bones Hyland, dude, no one gets more excited for a preseason game when the starters are sitting than Bones Hyland.

He went six for nine, nice from the field, five for six from three, 23, four and four with three steals.

Uh, Barringer, 10 and seven, four blocks and a steal.

So today we begin with this is great news for the Timberwolves as Bones Highland already looks like he's in mid-season form and clearly head coach Chris Finch at this point must feel totally comfortable keeping Bones Highland high up in the rotation for the upcoming NBA season.
