And One Colorado, an LGBTQ plus advocacy organization, leads that campaign, according to Colorado Newsline.

Nadine Bridges, executive director of One Colorado, told Chalkbeat the measure is written so vaguely that there aren't any boundaries, no parameters, no appeal process at all.

The Blue Book's arguments for the measure say it protects female athletes' wins, records, podium spots, and scholarship opportunities, creates a consistent, statewide standard for female teams, and addresses safety concerns rooted in physical differences between the sexes.

Its arguments against say the measure turns athletic eligibility into a body inspection, that a statewide standard without a statewide method will likely lead to uneven treatment of athletes, and that it would keep an at-risk group of students from playing on teams with their peers.
