Every draft is so... like the delta they have between making Chaos Draft feel very random, but also having like the small subsets of like possible things to work around.

Anyway, Mystery Booster Commander.

For those of you who don't know what this is, I think there was a, like, sneak preview.

So the idea for the set is they took the Mystery Booster pool of like a billion cards or whatever, and they curated it to the cards that would work best for Commander since Mystery Booster was designed for 1v1.

And then they injected 60 unique Commanders into the set.

The commander is not a sliver.

I don't know if it's from Mystery Booster Commander or it's from a recent set or something, but it says something along the lines of each creature spell you cast has demonstrate, which is you select an opponent and they copy the spell.

If they do, you get a copy of the spell as well.

So it's two for one slivers.

And this is the mystery booster commander edition.

So it's a mystery booster set, just like the other two that we've had, except it's made for commander draft.

So the format that we got with the commander masters,

Um, Where you draft your general, you draft your deck, and then you play commander with your drafted whatever.

Mm-hmm.

Because it's Mystery Booster, it's huge.

I'm looking forward to playing some more Magic again.

And I think that getting this injection of mystery booster commanders has been invigorating and cool.

But I will say I have no idea what to do with 99% of them.

There's some that I'm just very happy exist.

yeah um hot and willow huh whenever you tap a land creature for mana add an additional green but it's but she makes you a forest dryad when you uh when she enters dude that's so sick that's the thing man i just i you know i if you do have one of these partner decks please send it to me i would love to see it if you have the non-partner decks too i want to see them like itasura i don't know what to do with it but i'm sure if i play it against it i have a good time There's a lot of really fun stuff in this Mystery Booster Commander Edition thing that feels like the game is finding, okay, it's doing the thing it loves to do, which is we're going to get obscure, we're going to get interesting, and we're doing it for Commander.

My name is Ryan Overturf, and this week I'm going to be talking about some of the cards from the upcoming Mystery Booster Commander Edition, which was previewed a few weeks ago.

And I'm also going to be addressing something that I said a while back in the podcast.

I believe that it was on my episode about falling out of love with Powered Cube, in which I referred to Hullbreacher as being from a fake set.

which is less nuanced than I try to bring to the podcast.

Today, I'm going to be talking about that notion of fake sets or fake cards, as well as some stuff from Mystery Booster Commander Edition.

I'm sure I'll have a lot to talk about after that event, but I've got to figure that all out.
