Myrtle Beach Classic

Uh, my final thought is actually more of a human interest.

I just want to give a shout out to a friend, Stevie Mays, Steve Mays from down in Myrtle beach, uh, named the Myrtle beach classic, uh, tournament director.

I can tell you as a lifelong Myrtle Beach guy that we were cart boys together.

He went to Coastal and never left.

He finished runner-up in a Korn Ferry Tour event in Mexico in April this year.

Then ninth in the Myrtle Beach Classic, 14th in the Byron Nelson, 12th in the John Deere, 11th in the Corrales Punta Cana, 17th in the Biltmore.

So he's been competitive every time he's teed up on the PGA Tour.

And on the Korn Ferry Tour, he's obviously been hugely effective.

He was seventh in the RSM Classic last year.

He was seventh in the Myrtle Beach Classic by the coast last year.

12th in the Corales Puntacana last year.

So yeah, toyed with the favorite, Dave, as we'll come to at the end, but at a much bigger price.

One more creator story and this one broke this morning.

Ryan Ruffles, a YouTube golfer, just beat Grant Horvath in the final of the Q in Myrtle Beach to earn a spot in PGA Tour's one-flight Myrtle Beach Classic.

Horvath pulled his approach into the water in the last hole.

Ruffles made par and took it.

Uh, yeah, so it's not pretty.

His, his most recent top 20s are the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and the One Flight in Myrtle Beach Classic.

Given before that it was the Masters, so who really knows? But, um, yeah, I'd, I'd, I'd like to see him play a little bit more, but he's got a lot on the schedule.

Like we said, there's a lot going on for this guy.
