My Kitchen Rules

... and get everybody listening around it as well.

So we're about to kick off what we're calling the My Kitchen Rules, the MKR Takeaway Podcast.

Get it?

[laughs] 'Cause takeaway food.

Mm.

That's the beauty of a podcast.

So how this is gonna work is every week we're gonna be chatting, uh, with the cast of the season of My Kitchen Rules on Seven, and we know that shit's going down.

Yeah, so we're gonna be serving up piping hot goss, spicy inside scoops-

You'll be engaging in behavior that doesn't marry up with the person you are, and I'll come clean off the rip.

I'll say that this week, yeah, I have watched three episodes of My Kitchen Rules, and I have mildly enjoyed them.

I don't know what happened, but I watched the AFL Grand Final.

Next thing you know, I'm tucking in to episode one of My Kitchen Rules.

I know there's a link there.

I know that Channel 7 has done some sort of voodoo with the ad breaks or what have you, but it worked, clearly.

I was a Channel 10 guy, biggest loser, MasterChef, big brother.

These were the franchises that defined me.

Mm.

Not to say we don't do that on, like, My Kitchen Rules, but it is-

Or My- MasterChef and stuff

... which is one of our shows in Australia.

I did.

My Kitchen Rules, yeah.

So what happened there?

They said they needed better cooks.

Couples in that for a couple of seasons.

Nine was getting smashed by My Kitchen Rules, right? And so they needed something and they went back, they looked at what they had on their schedule and they went, well, can we supersize this show? And boy, haven't they ever supersized the show.

It cops a lot of criticism.

I think a lot of it is deserved.

And had he

done My Kitchen Rules at that point? Yes, yes.

Well and truly a long time

before that, yeah.

That's right.

And who fucking cares? We are going to talk about My Kitchen Rules at some point in the next hour.

Okay.

With our friend of the show, Jane.

Had a good giggle.

Some giggles.

We've got our shoulders down, our tits out, and we're going to talk about My Kitchen Rules for a few minutes.

My Kitchen Rules is a TV show on Channel 7.
