My Bonnie

Okay.

He received a special request from a customer for a song called My Bonnie from a very obscure group called...

The Beatles.

He had never heard of them, but soon researched them, listened to them, and became their manager.

I've got to find out about these guys.

And

My Bonnie.

My Bonnie was the first one.

I can't remember what was in that box.

I remember we did have the single, the, um, uh, My Bonnie single, the Beatles thing.

Whoa, with Tony Sher- Sheridan.

Yes, and we had that.

We shared everything.

But, I mean, it was, like, a huge box eventually, like, giant box of records, and we did have that.

And then when we were older, my sister was like, "You remember that song My Bonnie?" I'm like, "Yeah." She said, um, "It's worth a lot of money now." And we're like, "Where ...

Let's find it," you know? We couldn't.

experience.

There, on that stage, the group recorded in no particular order My Bonnie, The Saints, Why Can't You Love Me Again, Take Out Some Insurance On Me Baby, and Nobody's Child with Tony Sheridan.

And Ain't She Sweet, and an instrumental titled Cry for a Shadow without Sheridan.

It is disputed whether these seven songs were recorded all in one day or over two days.

Ours were bound to be better.

We did five of our own numbers, but they didn't like them.

They preferred things like My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean.

Both Tony Sheridan and Pete Best also recalled that more songs were played at the sessions than were taped as they decided what material to record.
