What exactly triggered the first contact?

It was actually a call from one of the head researchers of an organization that is presently marketed as MXV, the R&D validation enterprise of the Association of American Railroads in Pueblo, Colorado, in a quite extensive facility.

The chief researcher that contacted us had a significant background in electromagnetics, and that is one of our core competencies.

asked the questions about what we were doing that gave him to understand the potential that our core competence held for the railway sector.

So it gave us a tremendous amount of information, both for continuously welded rail and jointed rail, had its own unique challenges that we were able to overcome, but absolutely needed industry support to do so.

Past that particular point, we also needed validation.

And validation in our world occurred, again, at the MXV level.

MXV recently, in 2025, concluded a two-year study in their high tonnage loop, which is designed to break rail.
