Museum of Old and New Art

I love it all.

Well, one of the ones I wanted to talk about in particular, and what a thrill it must have been then in 2011 for you, when the Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart commissioned you to create Let There Be Robe, an obvious tilt to one of AC/DC's anthems.

Can you describe that work for us and what it represents?

Yes.

Now you're going up pretty high here so it's going to get chilly and as I mentioned I visited in November and at the top of Mount Wellington there was snow so just be prepared and bring layers.

Next up is Mona, which is the Museum of Old and New Art.

If you are into art, this is the place that you absolutely want to visit in Hobart.

It's quite fascinating, and even if you're not a museum person, everyone tends to rave about Mona.

And then I kept thinking to myself, "Am I feeling like it's atmospheric 'cause I'm in Tasmania?" But it's got a slight gothic kind of tone and, and a darkness to it, which is really fantastic.

The other thing I just wanted to talk about quickly, 'cause I know we're in a room full of book lovers, is when I was down there, um, Mona, the Museum of Old and New Art, they've just opened a new library space in there.
