And then at the other end of the spectrum, you got bands like Muse who are putting out live records that are perfect.

Yeah.

But the live one, I wasn't even sure it was a live record.

fair, I mean, I've seen those guys five times live and they play that good.

Like they were fucking dialed in.

So it's not like Muse is going to make a live record and intentionally sound worse than they normally do.

But they're just like the other end of the spectrum.

I used to do silly like Jeff Buckley impressions all the time because everybody was doing it at the time, right? It was downstream of Tom York saying he loved it.

And then, you know, all the big bands that were baking through, whether it was JJ's all the way through, so Muse and...

Coldplay were doing the Jeff Buckley and we didn't.

One of the few that didn't.

Because at that point, America didn't have any bands from Britain that were breaking through.

Because, you know, Oasis did okay, but not much compared to what they did back in Britain.

And then all the other bands, they completely lost out on so many great bands from Britain, because they just didn't have that crossover appeal but they start to hear bands like Muse and us who've been influenced by both and thought hang on you could you know this could do well over here and Coldplay had already started breaking ground without you know capitalizing on that really rock you know the heavy rock side of things and they were literally looking over And the guy who signed us, an epic soloist named Scott Greer, he said to me, well, every band is two bad records away from obscurity.

And that really stuck with me.
