Murray Mallee

Now, today is International Day of Rural Women.

To celebrate, more than a dozen women are gathered in the Murray Mallee, Jaybuck, for a pre-harvest paddock picnic.

The event is being organized by Women Together Learning, Wattle, e-- well, but otherwise known as Wattle.

Executive Officer Kim Blinkhorn says the day is about taking time to recognize the important contribution rural women make to communities and the industry.

I must admit, I can't remember the last time it's looked so good in so many places.

I guess in the last month I've been on Kangaroo Island, I've been out to Faroona in the Murray Mallee, been up in the Flinders Ranges and certainly, as you said, I went over to Charra.

on ep so yeah the country is looking so good everywhere and obviously the producers are very happy with the whole season too in fact it seems funny that more people are a bit concerned now about having too much harvest and perhaps not having enough workers to deal with it all so yeah very different circumstance

absolutely a good problem to have are there any unexpected animal health issues or concerns that you've seen popping up that we might not normally see
