For years, it was based at Laura in the state's mid-north until the company decided to take a risk and relocate to the bustling regional centre of Murray Bridge, boosting its ability to grow and scale.

Dimi is also an alumnus of Adelaide University's Australian Centre for Business Growth.

They said this relates to a single incident which occurred while out of competition and was not for performance enhancing purposes.

Still in SA and production has now begun at Golden North's new processing plant in Murray Bridge.

The South Australian ice cream company bought out the former Best on Global Food Company plant after administrators failed to find a buyer for it when they liquidated it last year.

The move to the Murraylands brings the company closer to SA's central milk producing region and of course the delicious ice cream closer to the people of the Murraylands.

But first up today, where cheese was once piled high, ice cream is about to start swirling as Golden North starts making ice cream at the Murray Bridge facility today.

The iconic South Australian ice cream company bought the former Beston Global Food Company plant in Murray Bridge when the company was liquidated last year.

Now, Beston's was mainly producing cheese at the facility, so Managing Director and co-owner, Dimi Kirazos, joins me for this milestone.

So the recipes haven't changed.

We've brought the old equipment over.

But the only difference really will be a process difference, which means here in Murray Bridge, we can get that ice cream frozen a lot quicker.
