Murder of Skylar Neese

We've covered so many of these cases in previous episodes.

For instance, in West Virginia in two thousand twelve, Skylar Neese, sixteen, slipped out of her bedroom to meet friends after midnight, only for those alleged friends to stab her to death.

In Indiana in nineteen ninety-two, twelve-year-old Shanda Sharer was lured from her dad's house and held captive for hours by four other girls, aged fifteen to seventeen, who beat her, tortured her, and ultimately burned her to death.

Then there's the Slender Man case back from season two.

Hi, everyone, and today we're going to be doing a bonus episode, um, from my other podcast, Next Day Podcast.

In this one we're going to be giving you a sneak peek into the story, well, true crime case of Skylar Neese.

That's, um, what we did.

So yes, the, um, the full length episode will be over on that feed.

Yeah, so we're gonna be doing a true crime episode-

Mm

... and we're gonna be talking about the case of Skylar Neese.

So Mikell, I'm gonna definitely assume you don't know the story.

Uh, what's her name?

Skylar Neese.

What were you feeling at that point for your little girl?

I was scared to death.

That was number one.

Had to be.

Or for the small suburban community of Star City, West Virginia, who would grapple with the mystery of Skylar Neese's disappearance.
