Murder of Dorothy Jane Scott

Dorothy never knew who this man was but she thought that she recognised his voice.

Dorothy Jane Scott was born on the 23rd of April in 1948.

By 1980, when this incident happened, she was 32 years old and she lived in Stanton, California with her aunt and her four-year-old son, Sean.

Dorothy's parents, Jacob and Vera, lived nearby in Anaheim and helped care for Sean while Dorothy was at work.

Whether or not it was the same man, whether or not it was actually Dorothy's stalker, her killer, Jacob and Vera couldn't know for sure.

But what everyone knew was that the timings of these calls were only to cause maximum pain.

The murder of Dorothy Jane Scott remains officially unsolved.

No person has ever been charged and the Orange County Sheriff's Department continues to list the investigation as open.
