Murder in a Small Town

Acquired is nine shows we've seen before, still led by The Big Bang Theory, 953 million minutes for 281 episodes.

We do have one new show this week, and it is Murder in a Small Town, 661 million minutes for 18 episodes, credited to Hulu and Netflix.

So this was a Canadian-produced series that also then aired on Fox.

And then just in time for its latest season to be on broadcast television, it has two seasons, they arrived on Netflix on September 29th.

[singing]

Last week I teased you about how I watch all the sex and blood and death series, and you watch quite civilized things like Murder in a Small Town and-

Mm

... you know, British detective series.

No, it's on Amazon.

I'm also watching Murder in a Small Town, and I believe that's on Netflix.

And that stars, uh, Donald Sutherland's son.

Mm.

So those are two momentous roles in a career of momentous roles.

Murder in a Small Town fans, such as myself, rejoiced when Bethany joined the show in season two in the incredibly nuanced role of Corporal Layla Jackson, a dedicated but deeply flawed officer from Minneapolis who joins the department in Gibsons because, for a small town, it sure has a lot of murders.

She's also had some great roles in The Good Doctor, The Astronauts, The Hundred, and The Flash, as well as festival fare and thrillers.

Oh, no, I actually wrote, and I'm gonna own this typo, I... or misspeaking, as well as festive fare and thrillers, 'cause she's done a whole bunch of, like, Christmas stuff, right, Bethany? Yeah, so-

Yeah

...

The Hundred, little Murder in a Small Town.

Oh, yeah.

And so, I mean, I guess we'll just be hanging out at the house.

You know what show, I guess if we're all, 'cause of the rain, um, I saw people are loving some new show on Netflix called Murder in a Small Town.

Haven't heard of it.

Me neither until last night, and I e- I emailed myself when I saw it 'cause I was like, "Oh, that might be something good, you know, if I can't get outside."

One is Ashen Pine, which you had mentioned earlier, and it's kind of a East Texas pine mystery.

And have you seen Murder in a Small Town?

No.

Okay.
